A Guide to Hard Drive

Hard drives primarily come in two varieties: HDDs and SSDs. HDDs, or Hard Disk Drives, rely on spinning disks and mechanical read/write heads to store and retrieve data. They are known for their high storage capacity at a lower cost, making them ideal for storing large files like videos, backups, and archives.

On the other hand, SSDs, or Solid-State Drives, use flash memory to deliver faster read and write speeds. They have no moving parts, which makes them more durable and efficient in terms of energy consumption. While SSDs tend to be more expensive per gigabyte, their speed and reliability have made them the preferred choice for modern laptops and high-performance desktops.
